WHO CHOSE THIS

WHO CHOSE THIS
Art Director Tian & I took a break from the usual grind and left my manager Ralph on Madison Avenue to escape and take a few photos. I love taking pictures that tell a story . . . More than that, I love taking pictures that express a FEELING. Business grind is a necessity to becoming a “pop star” or “recording artist” in 2016. However, artistic expression is what fuels this “business grind”. Without artists’ creativity there is no reason for the business. I know that artists are dealing with so much right now … I think I probably know more than anyone being a bi racial FEMALE born of two world class but poor musicians and coming from a broken home. I’m vulnerable to absolutely everything …… Sometimes I wonder why I put myself in this industry … but music chose me – it’s who I am and, if doing the business is what it takes in order to create with the billions of people on this planet and build platform to be a force for good in world? Well? It’s worth it to me … Capturing moments with awesome creatives on my team like Tian in the middle of a busy NYC work day? This reminds me why we do the business – people like Ralph and Tian and Me … Maybe You too? Yes, it’s worth it – because one image, one moment captured on camera, on “tape”, in a sound recording …. One moment can change our viewer / listener’s/reader’s life. Why would we sit idle? This is who we are – individually and together.
